Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke insists Barcelona are struggling to sign Ousmane Dembele.

This admission comes mere hours after Pep Segura's claims that Los Cules were indeed very close to securing the double signing of Philippe Coutinho and Dembele from Liverpool and Dortmund respectively, having claimed only minor details needing to be finalised in both cases.

In an interview given to Kicker on Thursday morning, Watzke made abundantly clear that Segura's post-match claims were false.

"Barcelona haven't made an inch of progress in their attempts to sign Dembele," he explained.
