Alex Buttner wants to stay with Manchester United.
The Sunday Mirror says the 24-year-old was signed by Fergie for £4m from Vitesse Arnhem last summer as an understudy for Patrice Evra.
Benfica, Besiktas, Anderlecht and Stuttgart were ready to take him on loan, but Buttner wants to fight for his place.
