Manchester United fullback Alexander Buttner was happy to see action in their Capital One Cup win over Liverpool.

The Dutchman did well in the left-back position and relished the chance to play in front of such a vocal crowd.

"It's good for me to play these games," he told manutd.com. "It's a good level and I can see where I'm at. It was a good game and I felt I did well.

"It was an important win. Everybody wanted to win because of what we saw in the last game. We played as a team today and you could see on everybody's faces that we wanted to win."
