Butt says Man Utd still searching for reserves boss

Manchester United's Head of Academy Nicky Butt has revealed that the club is currently looking for candidates for the post of Reserves coach.

Butt has temporarily taken over the position following Warren Joyce's departure to Championship club Wigan Athletic in early November.

However, former midfielder Butt confirmed that the club is going through the process of interviews and could make a permanent appointment soon.

When asked about the possible new appointment, Butt told MUTV: "Well, I thought it might come from my boss and not you asking me already!

"It's something we're looking at and something we've got to get right. It's a very important age group to manage and look after. It's the last step into the first team or into different clubs to try to make a career.

"It's important and we're going through the process of having interviews. Hopefully, pretty soon, we'll have someone in mind who comes along.

"We don't want to make it a rush job and get the wrong person in."
