Manchester United academy chief Nicky Butt says Marcus Rashford is a "shining beacon" for their youth teamers.

Butt admits Rashford is an example for what the United academy can achieve.

"I think Marcus has always been a shining example and a shining beacon for our academy boys," he told .

"He was there from seven/eight/nine years of age and right through the system where he is now. He is a superstar in Manchester United's first team, he's playing for England so that's what everyone wants.

"It's not always like that, everyone's journey is not the same. We put Marcus on a pedestal in the academy with pictures of Ryan, Paul, David and people like that but we can't all be like that."
