Nicky Butt says the steel he sees in his teammates' eyes convinces him that Newcastle United won't go down this season.

Butt said: "Looking at each other in the dressing room, we know we have more than enough to get out of it.

"We know if we keep playing and performing like we did in the second half, we will be OK.

"No disrespect to Birmingham, but the quality of players at Newcastle is much better than it is there.

"If we can stop goals going in the other end, then we will definitely create chances."
