Real Madrid chief Emilio Butragueno is convinced Jose Mourinho will bring the good times back to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Butragueno is confident Mourinho can repeat the success he enjoyed with Inter Milan last season at Real.

The former Real striker said: "He is a coach of the highest class. He began in Oporto with a team that was not predicted to win the European Cup and he did it. At Chelsea he superseded extreme pressure to win a host of titles and at Inter he continued that, winning the Champions League 45 years after Inter last won the competition.

"He [Mourinho] knows how to work with players and converts teams into champions. I believe he will do very well."
