Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno has defended the lack of local talent coming through at the club.
Antonio Adan's success against Espanyol and the goal scoring exploits of Alvaro Morata for the Castilla has pundits again questioning Real's attitude towards their youth system.
"Football has changed a lot, before there were only two foreigners per club and it was easier to reach the first team," said Butragueno.
"But now it is a bit complicated, it has increased the number of barriers for youth players."
