Butland says Stoke players primed for Arsenal clash

Jack Butland states Stoke City are fully prepared for their upcoming clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Stoke have endured a tough start to their Premier League campaign with only 2 points on the board from four matches and it will not get any easier for the Potters this weekend, as they now prepare to square off against Arsenal.

Butland told Stoke's official website: "It'll be a tough game for us but one that I'm fully looking forward to. We've got a fantastic squad so we're confident that wherever we go we can take points. Obviously it's been an indifferent start to the season and we would have liked to pick up more points than we have done.

"It was a tough end to that first period but for the lads who have been away, there have been positive results for the majority of us, so it's been a good break.

"There are still plenty of positives to take from our start to the season and there are good signs; some really positive play and togetherness as well. Against West Brom with nine men we were really battling and probably didn't deserve to lose. We're in a good place and we're ready to go to Arsenal and put in a really good performance."
