Butcher relaxed over poor Inverness home form

Inverness boss Terry Butcher has dismissed concerns about their home form ahead of the visit of Aberdeen. Caley Thistle have picked up all seven of their Scottish Premier League points on the road this season while losing at home to Celtic, Hamilton and Hearts.

"A lot of the media have made heavy weather of the fact we have lost three home matches on the trot, but we didn't win our first First Division match until Halloween and we went on a great home run after that," Butcher said.

"The players are not particularly bothered. Obviously it was disappointing to lose those three matches at home but the Hearts defeat was self-inflicted, and we were beaten by a bit of brilliance in the Hamilton game.

"There wasn't a lot to choose between the teams so we haven't done a lot wrong at home, we just haven't done enough to win.

"We have done that away from home and we have to take that application into the home matches.

"The main stimulant from our point of view is that we have not had back-to-back wins in the SPL.

"We had the chance against Hamilton after a great win against Dundee United and went into the international break on the back of a home defeat.

"We don't want the same scenario, to agonise over what went wrong for two weeks."
