Sergio Busquets has penned a new deal with Barcelona through to 2015.
Busquets made his senior debut during the 2008/09 season and has since established himself as an important member of Pep Guardiola's squad.
After penning the new deal, Busquets told Barca TV: "I'm happy. It's the best way to start the year - great news for everyone.
"I am very young, I'm 22 years old, and hopefully will have a career full of successes."
He said he felt "joy, excitement... many sensations - all positive" at having committed his future to "the best club in the world".
A club statement this morning confirmed: "Barca midfielder Sergio Busquets this morning signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2015.
"The deal also includes the chance to extend the contract based on games played in its final season.
"The buyout clause [has been] upped from 80 to 150 million euros."
