Barcelona matchwinner Sergio Busquets admits it was a battle to overcome Valencia yesterday.
Busquets reacted first to a spilled save to grab the winner.
He said: "We knew it would be difficult. They are very good this year, with hope, with a new coach and new players, and we were lucky enough to score in the last minute. They are three points that give us added joy and desire.
"For us we never value a draw, we tried until the end. It was after a corner, we were attacking for a long time, I dropped dead after Alves' save and I gave it (the ball) everything.
"Because football is difficult. They had chances, us too, perhaps we had more control and they looked for counter-attacks. These are games where we have to mature and take advantage of what we have."
