Manchester City have a high-profile shortlist of candidates for their vacant chief executive's job.
The Daily Mail says there are understood to be five captains of industry on the shortlist to succeed Cook at Manchester City. The job description included the need to get on with manager Roberto Mancini.
The club have denied that the candidates include either City fan David Potts, head of Tesco's Asia operations who has resigned to 'fulfil long-held personal ambitions', or former FA and Spurs director Paul Barber, who is leaving his CEO role at Vancouver Whitecaps.
