Bursaspor keeper Carson hopes Capello watching him

Bursaspor goalkeeper Scott Carson hopes England coach Fabio Capello hasn't forgotten about him.

Carson is hoping that a spell abroad - away from the glare of the Premier League - will help wipe the slate clean.

The ex-Leeds United and Liverpool man explained to the Daily Star Sunday: "That was a major part of the reason for me coming to Turkey.

"I thought if I took myself out of English football, people would just forget about me and, after one or two years here, they might have a different perspective of me when I come back.

"For a while I thought 'do I need all this stick?'. Every time I made the slightest mistake it would come back to the England thing. But I think I've grown up over the last couple of years."
