Burnley are waiting for offers for midfielder Chris Eagles.

The Lancashire Telegraph says Burnley have not received an official approach by Sunderland for Eagles, despite speculation of a £1m bid for the former Manchester United wide man.

Although the new season would be his last at Turf Moor under his current contract, the Clarets would only be tempted by a significantly higher offer, having spent around £1.3m to prise the 24-year-old from Old Trafford.

Everton have also been linked with Eagles since the end of the season.
