Burnley midfielder Graham Alexander has rubbished claims he has retired from the Scotland fold.
The Clarets midfielder was left out of Craig Levein's squad for next week's friendly against the Czech Republic at Hampden and one report suggested the 38-year-old had retired from international football.
However, Alexander has told Burnley's official website that is not the case and that he has spoken to Levein and is out of the Czech Republic game simply because of the calf strain he sustained at Bolton at the end of last month
Alexander has won 40 caps for Scotland with his last coming in September in a 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Macedonia.
