Burnley's hopes to sign Cameroon international Salomon Olembe took a negative turn on Monday night as he was ineffective in a reserves match.
The former Leeds United, Wigan Atheltic and Marseille midfielder was substituted at half-time of the 4-1 loss to Manchester City's reserves indicating manager Brian Laws' desire to sign him may have dropped slightly.
29-year old Olembe signed with Greek club Larissa from Turkish outfit Kayserispor in January but decided to go on trial with the Clarets in hope of a return to the Premier League but his performance may make Burnley think twice.
