Burnley to finalise deals for Charlton pair Gudmundsson, Pope

Burnley will finally land a pair of Charlton Athletic players this week.

The Clarets have struggled to bring in new players ahead of their Premier League return but it looks as though Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Nick Pope will be Sean Dyche's first additions of the summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

Iceland international Gudmundsson is set to join Burnley for £2.5million following the Addicks' relegation from the Championship to League One. The 25-year-old winger will link up with his new club after an extended break following his Euro2016 obligations.

24-year-old goalkeeper Pope, who has spent time on loan at Bury and York City over the past few years, will leave The Valley after five years and head to Turf Moor for a fee of £1.1m.
