Burnley have launched a bid for West Brom striker Jay Rodriguez.

The Mirror says Burnley have seen a £16million bid for Rodriguez rejected by the Baggies - but are hopeful of landing Sam Clucas.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche wants to bring Rodriguez back to Turf Moor, but Albion have turned down their latest offer.

The Baggies had also rejected a £25million double deal for Rodriguez and Craig Dawson earlier in the window.

Talks have resumed between the two clubs however and Dyche remains keen to take Rodriguez back to Lancashire, six years after he left the club to join Southampton.
