Sky Sports News claims Andre Bikey has passed a medical with Burnley and the Reading defender is close to a move to Turf Moor. The Clarets are believed to have offered Royals boss Brendan Rodgers £2.8million for Bikey, which is close to a £3m release clause.

Rodgers told the Reading Post: "He has many competitors in the Cameroon squad, who he may feel will be in front of him unless he's playing at the highest level.

"This is a World Cup year, those in the international reckoning will feel that they have to be playing at the very highest level to have a chance to go to a World Cup."
