Burnley striker Sam Vokes believes that his side are looking upward in the Premier League table.

The Clarets are in a unique position of being safe from relegation, which means they can focus their sights on better things. And Vokes believes it is Arsenal in sixth place that Burnley are wanting to chase down.

"The gaffer speaks about creating history and folklore a lot and that's important for us," Vokes said.

"Over the last few years we've achieved a lot here but to finish that high in the Premier League would be amazing for a club like Burnley and hopefully we can achieve that.

"We're constantly looking forward and looking at the team in front of us, we're not looking back. As the season has gone so far it's been important that we've pushed on and we've always looked above us.

"For us we're definitely looking at sixth place."
