Burnley striker proud to launch Danny Ings Disability Project

Burnley striker Danny Ings this week launched his own charity, the Danny Ings Disability Project.

It will provide footballs for disabled kids in the Burnley area.

Two years ago in May 2013, Ings was captured by the club photographer in an instinctive and touching moment with a young disabled fan Joseph Skinner.

Ings has put his own money into the project and pledged his time and ongoing commitment wherever his career takes him.

"It is something that is very close to me and stemmed from that moment a couple of years ago with Joseph," said Ings.

"It was the last game of the season at Turf Moor, and I was just about to take a corner. Joe was sat in the corner and I said 'Do you want my boots after the game?'

"When I handed them to him at the end the club photographer took a picture without me knowing. By the time I got back the dressing room it had gone viral. When I saw it and the look on his face it just inspired me to do as much as I can for the community and for other children as well."
