Burnley striker Iwelumo backing Wolves to beat Stoke

Burnley striker Chris Iwelumo hopes Wolves get the better of Stoke City.

Whilst delighted to have seen the Potters reach the FA Cup Final Iwelumo is hoping to feel similar emotions if Wolves secure their Barclays Premier League status - and he believes that they will.

"Wolves have got quality and experience," he told the Wolves website.

"They've been there before last season and went on a run of three or four games. I missed the Burnley match and was on the bench at West Ham and at Villa that got us seven points and killed off the other teams.

"They just got to put the two recent defeats to Newcastle and Everton behind them, and put the big wins they've had behind them.

"And for the last five games just have a little mini-league and make sure they finish in the top two.

"But there'll be a little bit of luck needed as well.

"Stoke will be a force to be reckoned with after the FA Cup semi-final.

"Wolves have had some great wins this season and I'm surprised that they are where they are."
