Burnley to stick with attacking principles

Burnley boss Owen Coyle knows his team are favourites for a quick return to the Championship but the Clarets will not abandon their footballing principles. "We hope we don't get the same start (to the season) because we lost 4-1 on the opening day and then 3-0 the following week," Coyle told The Lancashire Telegraph. "But we'll try to remain true to our principles, we'll try to get the ball down and play, and play in the right way.

"When it comes about there's no doubt it's going to be difficult but it's a challenge we'll relish.

"I think we showed over the season that we love being the underdogs. Every game we enter next season, we'll be the underdog for it, home and away."
