Burnley will demand a hefty compo fee should Bolton Wanderers convince Owen Coyle about a move to the Reebok.
The Times says Burnley would demand close to £3 million in compensation from Bolton Wanderers if their North-West rivals entice Owen Coyle to the club as their next manager.
Phil Gartside, the Bolton chairman, is expected to make a formal approach for Coyle today in the hope of having him installed in time for the Barclays Premier League match away to Sunderland on Saturday.
Coyle has added to the uncertainty about his future by refusing categorically to rule himself out of leaving Burnley during a press conference last Thursday and departing quickly after his team's 2-1 win away to Milton Keynes Dons in the FA Cup third round on Saturday reportedly to catch a flight to Scotland to see his family.
The Scot is thought to be keeping his options open, although Burnley have far from given up hope of retaining his services.
