Burnley skipper Shackell: Keeping Ings key to staying up

Burnley skipper Jason Shackell says keeping hold of Danny Ings could be enough to see them safe.

Shackell expects the forward, who has hit seven goals this season, to be back to his best when West Brom visit Turf Moor in the Premier League this lunchtime.

He said: "I'm sure he'll be fully focused on doing a great job for Burnley. That's all we care about.

"There are no questions about not trusting anyone in this entire squad. We've got a really honest group of players who work really hard for each other.

"Danny's a great lad. He's a Burnley player and he'll be a Burnley player until May at least.

"Obviously, we didn't want to lose him. I'm happy he's here until the end of the season because he adds goals and a lot of quality.

"We need that. In the last couple of games, we might just have taken our foot off the gas and we need to get back to 100 per cent.

" If we do that, we're tough to play against."
