Burnley boss Sean Dyche wants to sign free agent Shay Given, according to the Sun.
Given was released by Stoke City at the end of last season and has since been training with League Two side Macclesfield Town.
The 41-year old filled a backup role with the Potters last season.
And Dyche is looking for the Irishman to do the same with the Clarets behind Tom Heaton.
