Burnley's Vokes confident Ings partnership will work in Premier League

Burnley striker Sam Vokes is supremely confident that his attacking partnership with Danny Ings will continue in the Premier League.

The pair have scored 39 Championship goals between them to guide the Clarets back to the top flight for the first time since 2010.

There are doubts over whether the duo can reproduce that brilliant form in England's premier competition but Vokes, who has netted 20 times this term, has no reservations whatsoever.

"It has been a great season for the two of us (Vokes and Ings)," the Wales international told Sky Sports News Radio's FL72 Weekly show.

"We are not selfish and work hard for each other.

"We can do it in the Premier League. We know what it is like up there, and what we have done this season will stand us in good stead.

"We want to prove everyone wrong, as we will be written off, but when we come into pre-season we will be focused ahead of the new season."
