Burnley’s Elliott: The day Spurs striker Defoe was a Supreme!
Burnley midfielder Wade Elliott has revealed the day when Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe was getting around looking like one of The Supremes!
Elliott played with Defoe when he was at Bournemouth almost 10 years ago.
The Clarets midfielder said: “The best Christmas party was at Bournemouth, the best ones are usually fancy dress.
“We all went in drag, and there were pictures. Jermain Defoe turned up looking like one of The Supremes and I looked like Barbara Windsor!
“I had a big beehive wig on, and that was a good party.
“I walked through the main street and looked through New Look and four of the lads were at the back helping each other on with knee-high boots.”
