Burnley News: Bardsley urges fans to dream; Dyche excited by attacking options

Burnley fullback Phil Bardsley says fans have every right to dream as they sit in sixth place.

While the Clarets squad and boss Sean Dyche are maintaining their 'one game at a time focus', Bardsley is telling the fans to dream.

He told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: “That's what it's for for the fans. They pay a lot of money to travel up and down the country week in and week out and they deserve to have a sniff.

“Let's not get carried away too early, there's still a long way to go, the Christmas period is vital with a lot of games, if we keep performing like that we'll pick up more points."

Meanwhile, Dyche is delighted with their attacking options.

He said: "They have all been terrific. Barnesy has led the line really well in recent weeks, Sam (Vokes) is chomping at the bit and scored a great goal recently at Southampton.

“Don't forget Nahki Wells is breathing down their necks by the way, and Jon Walters is just returning.

“So it's a healthy place for those boys at the moment and there's a really nice feel about that competition at the minute.

“That's an important factor because not only do you want players who can score goals, but you want them to be stimulated to go and do well and they are doing that at the minute."
