Burnley's star signing Steven Defour has stated that he needs to adapt to the rigours of Premier League football.
Burnley splashed a sizeable £8million to secure the services of Defour from Anderlecht in the summer and it has to be said that the 28-year-old has enjoyed a positive start to life at Turf Moor so far.
Defour has now gone on to assess his first few weeks in England and the Belgian international has stated that he still has a bit of adapting to do in the fast paced nature of the Premier League which throws up such results as the Clarets' recent 2-0 win over Liverpool.
He told Sky Sports: "I need to adapt a little bit to the standards of the club and of the Premier League, but I'm getting stronger every week.
"The game never stops, there is no pausing.
"The first game we won against Liverpool and it's a league where everyone can win and everyone can lose. We just have to get the necessary points to stay in the league."
