Burnley face having to cough up to Aston Villa.
Villa are in line to receive a cash boost from a clause inserted in Ashley Westwood's move to Burnley in 2017, reports the Birmingham Mail.
Westwood, 28, made the switch from Villa to Burnley in last year's January transfer window for a £5m fee.
Westwood made over 150 appearances for Villa after joining them from Crewe Alexandra in 2012.
The deal that took him to Turf Moor included a clause that would require Burnley to pay Villa a sum based on appearances.
