David Jones insists Burnley will soon start collecting points.
Jones was part of the Derby County squad that was relegated in 2008 with the worst ever Premier League record of one win and 11 points.
Ten games into the current campaign and the Clarets are bottom of the table with no wins and four points.
The midfielder said: "We're definitely a different animal to the team at Derby.
"It was a struggle that year with Derby but as players we got the sense that it wasn't a stable club in the background.
"I know that year there were a few changes, the manager, the chief executive and ownership changed.
"It was a club a bit more in turmoil so that kind of thing was expected a little bit more."
