Burnley will be without Steven Defour for at least a few weeks.
Fans were hoping the 26-year-old would be involved at the start of the season.
However, he is still continuing his recovery from a serious knee injury he sustained in February.
His manager Sean Dyche believes it will be a few weeks before he is ready.
"Steven Defour is not ready, he's going to be a number of weeks I think," he said to the Lancashire Telegraph.
"Robbie [Brady] is closer, but we still have to be careful, they've been out months and it's important they come back with every chance go be up and running and not throw them back too quickly."
