Burnley management expect big things from Scottish youngster Kevin McDonald this season.

Clarets chief Brendan Flood said: "I think (Owen) will use him next year; he's a big prospect. Even in the Premier League I think he'll play him a lot and switch around with (Graham) Alexander, (Chris) McCann and McDonald.

"I think he feels like McDonald's got used to it now. He hasn't over-played him this year.

"I think he's sort of letting him get his confidence."
