Burnley launching bid for Hull midfielder Sam Clucas

Burnley are launching a bid for Hull City midfielder Sam Clucas.

The Mirror says the Tigers are fighting hard to hang on to Clucas after rejecting an improved £10million bid from Burnley.

Hull knocked back Burnley's opening £5 million offer last week for Clucas and have also dismissed their improved bid.

Tigers boss Leonid Slutsky is determined to hang on to his prized midfielder, who has been a regular since his £1.3million switch from Chesterfield in 2015, and has insisted the “supermarket was closed".

Hull want to offer Clucas improved terms to reward the 26-year-old for his progress at the KCOM Stadium and to keep him out of Burnley's clutches.
