Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton says Michael Keane deserves his England call.

The 23-year-old was given the nod to join up with the Three Lions by boss Gareth Southgate after injury ruled out Glen Johnson.

“He's been outstanding," Heaton told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

“I've said all along at 23 playing in the Premier League at centre half, there's not many of them.

“He's quick, strong, good on the ball. He's got the lot for me. He's improving all the time.

“He's got an awful lot of potential and he's delivering right at this minute."
