Burnley keeper Heaton brands Arsenal winner a 'sickener'

Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton admits defeat to Arsenal was "tough to take".

The Clarets were left aghast that Laurent Koscielny's handball while standing in an offside position was not ruled out with seconds to go at Turf Moor on Sunday.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looked as if he would bundle in a corner two yards out but his effort hit Koscielny - standing in an offside position - on the arm and went beyond Heaton.

"I'm reacting to Oxlade-Chamberlain's shot so I don't understand how they can miss it," Heaton said.

"I'm diving after the first one, it then hits the guy in front of him - that would tell me its offside. Then it's hit his hand, so yeah, probably handball! It's tough to take.

"I don't want to stand here bemoaning it because these things happen and hopefully these things will level themselves out.

"It's a sickener to lose it in that fashion after being so good for 90-odd minutes."
