Burnley are in talks with Swansea City over Alfie Dawson and Sam Clucas.
The Lancashire Evening Telegraph says while the Clarets have had conversations with the South Wales club over both players, there has been no formal offer made for either.
Burnley are long-term admirers of the versatile Clucas, having tried to sign him a year ago when he moved from Hull City to the Liberty Stadium instead.
The Clarets had two bids rejected by the Tigers last year but the 27-year-old endured a frustrating first season at the Liberty Stadium, making just 23 starts at the Swans were relegated from the Premier League.
West Ham have also been linked with Mawson throughout the summer but are yet to get a deal over the line.
