George Boyd has spoken glowingly of Bunley's surprise win over Manchester City on the weekend.
The winger fired home the only goal of the match in the 61st minute as the Clarets produced a 1-0 triumph over the reigning Premier League champions at Turf Moor and he suggested the home side fully earned the three points.
"Obviously with the bigger teams they've got world-class players who can cut you open in a second, but you find if you get in amongst them and press them they don't really like it because they're not used to being tackled," said Boyd.
"We played a few long balls too - not bad balls, more diagonal balls. It was all about playing to our strengths, playing an unfamiliar game for them and getting in their faces.
"We fully deserved to win. We were better than them."
The victory allowed Sean Dyche's Burnley to move up to 18th spot on the table where they now sit above QPR and Leicester City and just one point behind 17th-placed Sunderland.
