Sean Dyche has revealed that Burnley have identified a few transfer targets but anticipates difficulty in signing them.
Dyche revealed that he already has identified a number of targets to pursue this summer but is expecting difficulty in getting deals done quickly as he believes that clubs which receive the offers from the Clarets will leak information to the media in order to improve their negotiation position.
The 45-year-old told the Lancashire Telegraph: "We've always got targets and ideally we've not got just one, because it's rare we get the first one we go after.
"We want targets all across the pitch because you never know what can change in football. Every manager would want it done early but it's very difficult.
"Now you make an offer, it's highly unlikely that offer is accepted, it's very likely it's given out to other sources to drum up a market. That's changed radically.
"When I first started six years ago you could ring a manager and get it done quite quickly if there was a deal to be done, now it's not like that."
