Burnley are set to land Stoke City winger Michael Kightly.

The Lancashire Evening Telegraph says Kightly is expected to complete his £1m move to Burnley when he returns from honeymoon.

The wide midfielder spent last season on loan at Turf Moor after falling down the pecking order under Mark Hughes at the Britannia Stadium.

He helped the Clarets to promotion and his deal included a clause that he would sign on a permanent basis if they went up.
