Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope is set to be handed a new contract.
The 26-year-old keeper, who made his England debut in the second-half of the Three Lions' victory over Costa Rica on Thursday, is already heading to the World Cup finals after a meteoric rise.
And he will do so with an improved pay deal in his back pocket and a year's extension to his deal which now runs to 2021, reports the People.
Pope, who worked as a milkman after being released from the professional game as a teenager, has left his agents to press ahead on his behalf and the improved contract will be ready for his signature when he returns from Russia.
