Burnley fullback Kieran Trippier has his sights set on an England call.

Trippier and Nathaniel Clyne faced each other at Turf Moor last week, with the Burnley right-back coming out on top as his side secured a 1-0 win over Southampton.

"He deserves it," Tripper told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph of Clyne.

"He's been brilliant this year and last year, I used to watch him a lot. He's a great right-back and I can learn off Nathaniel because he has played a lot of games in the Premier League.

"I never say never, just keep doing my best in this league and hopefully I stay for as long as I can."
