Burnley fullback Trippier: Ings a match for Kane

Burnley fullback Kieran Trippier insists Danny Ings deserves the same recognition this season as Tottenham's Harry Kane.

Kane, 21, has already hit the 30-goal mark this season - and Trippier can see Ings matching that feat in the future.

He said: "When you see his goal tally, Kane has done really well and he deserves his call up. "Ingsy is another who has done very well in his first season in the Premier League.

"But compared to Harry Kane, well, Danny's goals speak for themselves. He's got over 40 for Burnley now.

"I believe Ingsy can go all the way to the top. He's a fantastic footballer and he's still only 22. He will produce in the next couple of years and he will be scoring 20-30 goals a season.

"It's frightening. His first five yards are explosive - he's rapid with the ball at his feet. But Harry is similar. And he gets more goals and that's what it is all about for strikers in this league.

"Ingsy will get there - 100 per cent. That's what I believe. In the next few years he will be one of the top strikers in the Premier League without a doubt.

"Ingsy and Kane have played together for England Under-21s and done well. So yes, they can play together for their country."
