Burnley fullback Matt Lowton is sorry seeing former club Aston Villa struggling in the Championship.
Lowton has been an ever-present for Sean Dyche's promoted Clarets this season after being shown the door by the fallen Midlands giants.
"It's a massive club and it's not nice to see them not in the top flight," Lowton explained to the Mail on Sunday.
"People said they would bounce back but it hasn't happened yet. It's a tough league and Villa is a massive scalp. They've won one out of 10 but if they can get a run going there's no reason they can't go up the table."
