Burnley early contenders for Europa League qualification

Burnley are early contenders to qualify for next season's Europa League.

The Mirror says while Sean Dyche's men prop up the Premier League table, they were the early leaders of the fair play standings after nine games.

The side who finish top of the pile could possibly gain entry into Europe, with the top three countries in UEFA's overall standings receiving a spot in the first qualifying round of next term's Europa League.

Burnley's chances may be dented by Saturday's win over Hull though - their maiden success since returning to the top-flight.

Referee Mark Clattenburg dished out six yellow cards to the hosts - a glut of bookings that is expected to earn the Clarets an FA fine.
