Burnley have denied talks with Algeria midfielder Yazid Mansouri.

In a statement on their website, burnleyfootballclub.com, the Clarets declared: "Burnley Football Club can confirm that club officials are not in talks with Algerian midfielder Yazid Mansouri.

"The 31-year-old, currently playing for FC Lorient in France, had stated in an Algerian newspaper that he was in talks over a move to Turf Moor.

"However, Burnley Football Club has not entered into any negotiations with the midfielder."
