Both Burnley and Rangers have denied suggestions that the Clarets have made a shock bid to bring Kyle Lafferty back to Turf Moor, reports the Lancashire Telegraph. Reports in Scotland had claimed that Rangers had turned down an offer of £1m plus Andre Bikey for the striker, who left Burnley in 2008.
But a Clarets spokesman denied the story and Rangers boss Ally McCoist said: "That's news to me but Kyle won't be going anywhere.
"Kyle's a very important player to us, he's going absolutely nowhere."
