Burnley close to agreeing deal for Lorient forward Majeed Waris

Burnley are set to conclude a deal for Lorient forward Abdul Majeed, according to the Daily Mail.

The Clarets have reportedly beat off competition from West Ham United, West Bromwich Albion and Brighton to secure the signing of the 25-year-old forward in a £9million deal.

The Ghana international scored nine times for his side in Ligue 1, but couldn't save them from relegation.

Burnley have already signed striker Chris Wood in a club-record deal from Championship side Leeds United.
